The Benefice of Littleborough is committed to Safeguarding Children, Young People, Victims/perpetrators of Domestic Abuse and Vulnerable Adults. The PCCs have adopted the House of Bishops guidance and policies and each have their own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSOs.

Our Commitments

If You Are Concerned

That someone you know is at risk of, or is being abused, or presents a risk to others, please contact the PSO for the parish or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If there is immediate concern please report the matter to the Police and Local Authority Child or Adult Social Care Services without delay.

Each of our parishes has a safeguarding officer, and they are:

St Barnabas    Sheila Wildman

St James        Laura Mallinson

Holy Trinity     Lynnette Windslow

When making first contact, please state in you e-mail which Parish you wish to speak about, and include contact details.  At this point, we request that you do not go into any details.  Thank you.

The relevant person will then contact you to discuss the issue further.
